UPDATED: Schumacher has called off his return due an injury.
Michael Schumacher Returns to F1 for the European Grand Prix in 3 weeks time. He replaces the injured Massa. We all hope that Massa makes a complete recovery. Schumacher's return will continue turn this season in to more of a fantasy script for an F1 film with the Honda team becoming the successful Brawn GP at the start of the season and now the 7 times world champion returning the sport, no one could have predicted that this would be reality!

Moyles Barrowman Chart Campaign UPDATED
BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show: The Chris Moyles Show is championing a new hit record: John Barrowman - I Made It Through the Rain! They said on air yesterday (Monday) that they want to get this amazing song into the chart, the UK official top 40. Then the Radio 1 Chart Show on Sunday would have to play it, much to everyone's amusement. So, one day in (Tuesday Morning) they had made it to 11 in the UK iTunes chart. But as of now, John Barrowman - I Made It Through the Rain is at number 8 in the UK iTunes Chart! To continue the campaign please follow the link below and part with 79p to feel part of the Chris Moyles Show Barrowman Chart Campaign!
UPDATE: Today John Barrowman (Twitter hashtag #JohnBarrowman) is up to number 7 in the iTunes chart! Also if 79p is a bit steep for a song you don't want check out www.amazon.co.uk where it is only 29p! I'm sure if those sales are entered into the Official chart show though, does anyone know if they are? Please leave a comment with the answer!

Strange Sighting
On 25/07/09 at approximately 10:40pm we saw a glowing orange light pass across the sky. Two minutes later another one came across on a very similar trajectory. Having seen the space shuttle and international space station pass over before we assumed it could have been them but, then, after another two minutes another one came over. From NASA's site there were no sightings scheduled for that day where we were. Six passed overhead in total. They were not flashing and were moving at a constant speed. There have been reports in the local paper of Chinese Lanterns, could this be a possibility? I think that the objects were too large and too bright and traveling too fast to be Chinese Lanterns. but on the other hand I don't know what they are! I also don't think that they could be aircraft as they were very bright and there was no noise when they flew over. It would be unusual for an aircraft to have a constant light and not flashing navigation lights? They looked similar to the ISS when that passes over, but they were orange not white like the ISS. I have a zoomed in picture and a video below.
If you have any ideas as to what they could be please leave a comment.
Here is a photo of the one of the objects (zoomed in very close):

BBC Radio 1's Chris Moyles show was great today, so great that they have edited the live streaming footage for everyone to enjoy again and again!
Display Aspect Ratios
Aspect Ratio, if set up incorrectly, can hinder your enjoyment of TV/Films/Video Games. But no one pays much attention to published aspect ratios and often stretch the display, or lop of the sides, to prevent black strips at the top or sides. This website shows you various scenarios so you can compare the black strips you SHOULD have when viewing various size images. Stretching and panning reduces the quality of the image. You can use this website to check that you have your Bluray/DVD player/STB (set top box) set up correctly. http://web.forret.com/tools/aspect.asp

Muse Website Re-Launched
Muse have re-launched their website http://www.muse.mu/ to coincide with the countdown to their next studio album: The Resistance. Below is the official lowdown on the new website as published on their News section:
Quoting Muse
"Welcome to the all new muse.mu! We've had a pretty major overhaul and there are lots of new features for you to explore including MuseWiki and Google Maps integration plus commentable news and pics for Muse Members. More info below:
THE HOMEPAGE
Here you can keep up to date on the latest news and tour dates, plus see the most recent comments on the site and watch as the photo box takes you through all the band's official images! Underneath the news section you can check out the band's latest tweets on their official Twitter channel and keep up to date with news stories about the band posted on other websites.
NEWS
In the news section you can browse through stories chronologically and subscribe to the RSS feed if you want to make sure you get the latest news first. In fact, if you want more RSS you can subscribe to feeds for News, Gigs, Photos and News From The Web over in the links section.
TOUR DATES
Check out the band's forthcoming tour dates complete with venue location maps and ticket info. Then go back in time and have a look at every gig the band have ever played! If you're a Muse Member you can upload photos to appear on these pages and you can edit the setlist over on the MuseWiki to see it appear on muse.mu. Tour Dates is also the first section that utilises the brand new feature, the Muse Map! Click to "view map" in this section to see all the dates on a world map, filter by country, city and year to find the ones you went to. Then, add your attendence on the gig page to appear in the attendees list and notch up another gig in your Member Profile.
MEDIA PLAYER
Over in the media player, if you're a member, you can listen and watch the entire Muse back catalogue in our brand new shiny player. Read the lyrics while you're listening or pop the player out and have it on in the background while you browse the rest of the site.
DISCOGRAPHY
The discography section is another area where we've joined forces with the MuseWiki. Take a look at info about each release, written by the fans!
IMAGES
We've brought all your images over from the old site, along with all the official ones, and as with tour dates, you can now view them on the Muse Map, so make sure when you upload any new ones you tag them to the right gig and location to make sure they show up in each of the relevent pages.
MEMBERS
This section is where you Muse Members can change your profiles, let everyone know your favourite song, gig and album and edit your details that get shown around the site. You can also have a look at other people's profiles and find each other on the Muse Members map. Make sure you tag yourself in Edit My Profile if you want to appear though, we didn't have this information from you before so at the moment this map looks a little lonely!
SHOP
Last but not least, don't forget to have a look at our new shop. We've re-ordered everything, taken some new shots of our merch and made it so you can buy music and t-shirts all together. We'll be making new items available there very soon including special promotions for the release of The Resistance, so keep checking back!"

Google Announce Chrome Operating System
Google have announced on their blog (Click Here) that they are developing an OS dubbed Google Chrome OS. It isn't the first time Google have ventured into the world of the operating system. Google Android is an OS for smart phones. Currently available in the UK with the T-Mobile G1. But this new Chrome OS will be designed to run on netbooks at first and later PC's. The mantra is for a simple, safe and secure OS that is easy to use and won't be hassled by viruses targeted at Microsoft Windows PC's. This is an ambitious project as Microsoft are huge players in producing Operating Systems such as the soon coming Windows 7 and they have 96% market share of the Netbook market which is the first for Chrome OS to tackle (According to BBC News). This OS is being built on the success of Google Chrome the web browser which is currently used by 30 million people according to Google. Even Internet Explorer users often install the Google Toolbar to make their browser better for searching, despite the inclusion of a Safari style search bar in later versions of IE (7 & 8). For more in depth details of the project check out Googles blogpost here.
